To the SOS Fundraising Committee,

The best thing I ever did for SOS was to step away from the fund- raising meetings to give you the freedom from the past.  What you did was amazing.  I would be hard pressed to think of any way the event could have been improved.  From the champagne greeting, to silent auction, the gift card tree, the cake, the silvery glitz of the decorations, the wine pick with beautiful silver bags, the speakers, the table arrangements, the scholarship sales,  the favors, the games...........everything was top notch!  If class was what you were going for, you nailed it!

Thank you for the honor you bestowed on Mary, Barb and me.  Your recognition of my years of service means a lot to me because it represents the years, the relationships, the experiences which have been some of the best parts of my life.  I count myself very lucky to have been able to contribute and be a part of something so meaningful.  I am deeply appreciative of your thoughtfulness.

Even though I am backing away a bit,  I still plan to help the committee with the Opus Raffle and Gala sponsors, gift cards and auction baskets.  Since I have passed the life expectancy for women in the U.S.  I would like to have a co- chair for the raffle.  As I see it, she would be aware of all facets of the raffle but would be in charge of ticket sales.  I hope that someone on your committee is interested in this position!
